Of Getting Married and Surfacing from a deep beautiful dream

Its nearly a month since our son Koa Wainui Cornelis Horton was born. He weighed 4070 gms at brith and last week he weighed 4440, so its a fast growing and wonderful boy that he is. We have been gettting used to having two wonderful and little beings with us. Tai Marama is doing wonderfully with the addition to the family. She is sleeping well, except for waking up at 5:30 am and not going back to sleep! oh well an early start for papa never hurt. I am just strting to think about getting back into building on the house. My brother Ben is coming down for a few days around the 21st to help so using that as a starting date for building. so much Gratitude and Apreciation for the beautiful way life has unfolded over that last while and continues to.

Next News is that Jay and Sacha are getting Married!!! We plan on doing the deed 14th March 2009, thiws will hopefully give the overseas crew time to gather themselves and plan the trip. Much love to all and thanks for everything...

Life is like a smoothy...

A new post for this site finally, Its been a while. Life is moving along, for the better. we have a new baby on the way. 20 weeks into it... Half way...whew. We also have a new house... Bought for $10! Now theres a good story...We nearly applied for the building permit and resource consent today, just a couple more little bits of paper to sort. We have a beautiful house site approved by the community. Stunning spot, sea views, beach close, grandparents close, garden close etc... Ya so life moves on and we are blessed with the good life.

Peace and love all around.>>>Jay n Tai from the wholemeal cafe in Takaka ( Tai is chief smoothie drinker supreme I am just the typist, More! More! More! she is saying... I better go)

FIRSTS

First time in the city, first time on a plane, first time in a silk dress...So many, and I as I wandered around outside the restaurant helping to our little girl, I looked at the city again with new eyes, Imagining what it was like. So many new experiences, so many fresh connections happening...vroooommm, a car flies past and her head wips around wondering what that was... and I wonder about how to explain it. It is a lot easier to imagine explaining about plants and waterfalls, and rocks...with new eyes I appreciate once again the miracle that is life and I am great-full.

Tai has arrived!

Tai Marama Mientje Horton - our pacific princess has arrived home. A smooth ceasarean birth at Nelson hospital on Wednesday the 12th of July, at 14:04, she weighed 7.14 pds or 3.595 kg. We stayed all together at the hospital for four days, me on the floor beside Sachas bed and Tai mostly in one of our arms. Sacha recovered very quickly and was walking around on the second day! Now we are home in Rototai (part of where her name comes from) and have settled back in to grow together as a family. So many firsts to come... now her first picture and blog on the net. Love to all the family and friends from us three...xxx ooo
